Alter Ego Costume Design & Rental is owned and operated by Christy Sullivan of Chico, California. We have 4,000 sq. ft. of theatrical-quality costumes, vintage clothes, & formal wear, and costume accessories. Our costumes are available for rental; you can also rent or purchase a custom costume design. We specialize in historical recreations.
Our hours are 12pm – 5:30pm Monday to Saturday.
Please arrive at least a half hour before we close to allow time to be fitted. For large groups, please call 2 – 3 days in advance to set up an appointment.

We are different from other costume shops, because we not only have more inventory than any other costume shop for hundreds of miles in any direction, but we also take the time to provide our patrons with hands-on, personal service. We provide “everything but the underwear!” We make it our goal to have you looking your absolute best (or worst, as the case may be) when you walk out our door.
